Golf in Los Cabos is played along two bodies of water…. the Sea of Cortez or the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean. Depending on what time of year you visit, the temperature can run about 10 degrees cooler on the Pacific Ocean side than it is on the Sea of Cortez side. Cabo is a year-round destination, so if you decide to travel in the hotter months of July or August, the cool breezes off the ocean make this one of our more popular experiences.
The Pacific Golf Experience – Los Cabos includes accommodations at the Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes Resort Golf & Spa, a vacation destination like no other. Endless ocean views and gentle sea breezes are just the beginning of your stay in paradise in Los Cabos.
To complement your stay, we have lined up 3 great golf courses, all with views over the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific – Solmar Golf Links, Puerto Los Cabos, and the Cabo Del Sol Course.
Other golf options in Cabo to explore are Cabo Real, Club Campeste, and Palmilla.

A golfer’s dream course is taking shape on the gently sloping sand dunes along the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Envisioned by Greg Norman Golf Course Design, Rancho San Lucas’ 18-hole golf course is destined to become Cabo San Lucas’ premier golfing destination utilizing innovative technology and sustainable practices.
The extraordinary setting alone indicates that this isn’t just any other golf course, with its spectacular views of desert and ocean. The course promises a challenging game with higher desert areas and lower links areas with six holes along the ocean and a signature island green on hole 17. Thanks to an exquisite design by golf legend Greg Norman, the golf course will embody the native allure of its environment, almost as if the Pacific Ocean had long been waiting for it to emerge from the dunes so it could lap its waves against it. The topography of the area, full of short ups and downs created by the dune environment, lends itself to playful design features, enabling a mix of challenges for golfers.
Located on a pristine stretch of coastline along the Sea of Cortez, just east of the San Jose del Cabo estuary, Puerto Los Cabos is a 2,000 acre, master-planned, mixed-use resort community. The community encompasses gated residential neighborhoods, hotels, golf courses, a world-class marina with upcoming Marina Village, botanical and sculptural gardens, and the Puerto Los Cabos Club.
Tucked within a 2,000-acre master-planned resort community on the East Cape, a short 10-minute drive from the historic downtown area of San Jose del Cabo, Puerto Los Cabos is a 27-hole golf resort, featuring three distinct courses designed by two of the sport’s most legendary figures, Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus.
All three courses are championship layouts, perched above the Sea of Cortez and etched into rolling desert foothills and backdropped by the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains. The views from the course are unparalleled and showcases the rare combination of beautiful desert and pristine coastline, which is only found on the majestic Baja Peninsula.
The Nicklaus II Course, a 3,436-yard par-36 signature design by Jack Nicklaus, is the newest addition to the Golf Club. Opened in April 2018, the new nine emulates the original Nicklaus I Course design style and has quickly become a favorite. Subtly con- toured greens, large sculpted bunkers and dramatic elevation changes mark the new additions. The course begins with a links-style opening hole, playing towards the Sea of Cortez and framed by sand dunes in the distance. The picturesque closing stretch – holes 6 through 9 – ascends to higher ground and has been the talk of the Golf Club since it has opened, showcasing some of the most dramatic views found on property.
Situated along the stunning southern coast of the Mexican Baja, Cabo del Sol is the ultimate destination resort community for a world-class golf experience and stunning natural beauty. Home to two distinct courses—the Cove Club and the Cabo del Sol Course—this golfing oasis is set against the rousing backdrop of the Sea of Cortés. Cabo del Sol elevated Los Cabos from a “sleepy little fishing village” to a premier golf destination by blending exceptional course design with the vibrancy of the Baja Peninsula—creating an exceptional experience unlike any other.
Designed by Tom Weiskopf— the master of desert golf— the Cabo del Sol Course is artfully sculpted across the natural beauty of the Baja. Since 2001, golfers have marveled at its melding of desert and ocean, with canyon-like arroyos that are as awe-inspiring as they are challenging. Views of the ocean from all 18 holes create a breathtaking backdrop for your round, while its undulating greens, changes in elevation and dramatic bunkering make the course a distinguished piece of the Cabo del Sol golf experience.
